erin birdsall’s short story published by sunspot literary

So excited to share that soon Erin Birdsall will see her short story, "Hartsong" published in Sunspot Literary Journal!

Erin started off as a Creative Community subscriber back in May of 2021 and is now the Creative Community Director here at Fresh Ink. She wrote "Hartsong" in college in 2013 and picked it up again in late 2020 to start revising it.

"I would never have gotten published if it weren't for Jaime's help. Even though I've always loved to write, I'd never submitted any of my work before, partly out of fear--I struggle with perfectionism--partly out of lack of discipline, and partly out of lack of knowledge of how it worked.

“With Jaime's practical publishing expertise, her encouragement, and a more consistent creative practice from Creative Community, I was able to finally submit a piece of writing for the first time this past February. And two weeks later, I got my acceptance.

“I'm still floored. It's been a lifelong dream of mine to be not just a writer, but a published author. I'm so thankful." --Erin
